    BJSEAL Pump and valve gland packing

    A packed gland seal or the conventional shaft seal is not often used due to its maintenance requirements.
    They require regular attention to adjust the amount of leakage, which is required to ensure proper lubrication of the gland packing. The life expectancy of a packed gland depends wholly on the liquid being pumped, with abrasive liquids reducing the life expectancy. Packed glands are recommended for aggressive liquids.
    Also when a packed gland fails it simply begins to leak more and can be tightened to reduce the leak with
    the pump remaining in service, where as a mechanical seal leaks dramatically when it fails hence the pump will have to be taken out of service. We are able to offer the very latest packing materials at very affordable prices. Marine Packing is a specialty of ours and all sizes from 1/8” (3mm) to 2” (50mm) are normally in stock. Equivalents to all major gland packing manufacturers, Klinger, Latty, Merkel, Unispec etc..

     

    BJSEAL Style 210 GFO-General Service Packing
    BJSEAL style 210Style 210GFO general service packing is manufactured from 100% GFO with a Teflon and Graphite After a special braiding process the packing is impregnated with PTFE suspensoid and Silicon Oil is added to act as a break-in fluid. Style 210GFO is a dense but very conformable packing.

     

    Application
    Suitable for use in any rotary, reciprocating static gland. The GFO fibers used in the manufacture of this packing provide longer service life, less down time and lower maintenance costs in a variety of uses. An almost universal packing with have good chemical resistance, very cool running and capable of high speeds.

    BJSEAL Style 230 Multipurpose valve PackingBJSEAL style 230

    Style 230 PTFE VALVE PACKING is manufactured from pure PTFE fibre and this packing is perfect for all valve and slow speed applications: the inter-lock braiding style makes this a very dense packing that reduces the need for adjustments after installation. Under normal circumstances this packing will last the lifetime of the valve. No need to re-pack, just add another ring to compensate for any wear.

    BJSEAL Style 231 Multipurpose pump and valve packing with silicone lubricant packing
    Style 231Style 231 PTFE PUMP/VALVE PACKING is manufactured from pure PTFE fibre then impregnated with PTF suspensoid and an inert silicone break-in lubricant. This packing is good for all valve and most medium speed applications: the inter-lock braiding style makes this a very dense packing that reduces the need for adjustments after installation.

    BJSEAL Style 268W –Synthetic yarn packing
    268wGeneral Service synthetic yarn braided packing for rotating and oscillating equipment highly impregnated with PTFE suspensoid.In the manufacture of Style 268W every fibre is coated in PTFE suspensoid. This system of impregnation assures even distribution of the PTFE. The fibers are saturated and sealed with the PTFE particles, protecting the fibers from chemical action. Surface Treatment: A surface coating of PTFE is applied after braiding. To assure good bk-in characteristics, a special high temperature synthetic lubricant is added. All internal voids are filled, eliminating the dry centers left by other packing treatments. Style 268-W offers the clean, dependable service that the food processing and papermaking industries demand.

    BJSEAL Style 300 Kevlar Packing
    Style 300 Kevlar packingStyle 300 Kevlar PackingStyle 300 KEVLAR PUMP & VALVE PACKING is manufactured from DuPont’s continuous filament Kevlar? and impregnated with a PTFE suspensoid. A break-in lubricant called polydimethyl siloxane is added to protect packing during first stages of start-up. Style 300 is used in valves and pumps in moderate conditions. The high tensile strength of Kevlar? makes this an ideal packing for slurries and abrasive conditions. Also because if its strength Style 300 is often used as a bullring to resist extrusion of softer packing’s.

    Application Suitable for use in shafts, rods, valve, expansion joints against water, steam, solvents, mild acids, alkalis, oil to 260oC. Style 300 will not stain in paper mill applications. Best in highly abrasive media for pumps , water, sea water, brines, superheated steam, sludges, slurries, waste, petroleum oils, petroleum fuels, solvents, chemicals.

    320 aramid packingStyle 320 armaid fibre packingStyle 320 Aramid Pump and Valve packing is manufactured from a new kind of Aramid fiber called Kynol. Before braiding the fibers are impregnated with PTFE suspensoid and after braiding a special non-stick break-in lubricant is added. Style 320 can be used in moderate pumping conditions but should  not be used with sulphuric or nitric acids nor with strong bases.

    500fgSTYLE 500fg is manufactured with Pure Expanded Flexible Mineral Graphite is the perfect lubricant.     BJSEAL Style 510fg-Pure Expanded Flexible Graphite– PTFE Impregnated
    510fgSTYLE 510fg is manufactured with Pure Expanded Flexible Graphite Yarns impregnated with Teflon as a blocking agent thus creating a non-staining packing.     BJSEAL Style 600-INC Valve Packing Reinforced with inconel wire
    Style600-INCStyle 600 INC is constructed from pure expanded mineral graphite twisted yarn with multiple inconel wire reinforcement. A braided inner core provides outstanding sealing performance and high pressure resistance. External jacket braided from pure expanded mineral graphite twisted yarn, treated with inhibitor and blocking agent, avoids all contact between the reinforced inner core and the valve stem. No possibility of stem wear.

    Style 600 INC Braided packing with inconel wires reinforcement and incorporating a corrosion inhibitor. Can be used in any valve throughout the plant, standardize on this product and save money on inventory. Cut rings to size, install as normal, tighten down, as the packing is compressed it forms solid graphite rings. Unlike packing made from fibrous material these solid rings will not allow leakage through the packing itself.     BJSEAL Style 680-INC Twisted into strands reinforced with inconel wire mesh covering
    680-INCStyle 680 INC has proven itself to be the best material for high pressure and high temperature valves and is fire safe having successfully passed API 589 standards at API 607 temperatures and pressures. Pure Flexible Graphite Tape is layered and twisted into strands. Each strand is reinforced with inconel wire mesh covering. Strands are square braided to form a dense but pliable packing and blocking agents and corrosion inhibitors are added. The packing is then densely impregnated with lubricating agents to reduce stem friction. Uniquely Style 680-INC has proven to have superior emissions control over thousands of cycles of the valve. Style 680-INC can hold emissions down to less than 500 ppm to meet all International Emission control requirements. Fire tests done by an independent laboratory have shown Style 6800INC to be unique in its ability to seal even under the harshest tested conditions.

    BJSEAL Injectable packing sealant compounds add to the choices for shaft sealing strategies for many industrial applications. When installed properly and maintained correctly this family of products can bring dramatic cost savings. We now offer High Quality injectable Packing Sealant Compounds in grades to meet most industrial and water treatment facility needs. Our packing are non non-asbestos and universal pump and valve packing which has unlimited shelf life. It has a malleable (putty-like) consistency and is made from a carefully controlled blend of high-tech synthetic fibers and specially formulated lubricants and greases .BJSEAL Packing runs cooler than braided packing and never needs flush or cooling water.
